Что нужно знать об Outlook Express Backup

Это специализированный инструмент для осуществления бэкапов почтовых баз. Приложение сохраняет все письма с вложениями, адресную книгу и текущие настройки клиента. Поддерживается три типа создания копий – стандартная, инкрементальная и «зеркальная». Переносить данные можно на локальный диск, удаленный FTP-сервер или оптический накопитель. Отметим наличие встроенного планировщика, благодаря которому бэкапы генерируются в автоматическом режиме без участия конечного пользователя. При желании можно установить пароль на конечный файл. Все действия утилиты логируются.

Приложение часто используется среди коммерческих клиентов в качестве вспомогательного инструмента для поддержки пользователей. Например, для быстрого переноса архива писем на другую машину.

Программа совместима только с одним почтовым приложением от Microsoft - Outlook Express, применять ее с другими приложениями невозможно. Меню утилиты доступно исключительно на английском языке.

Но те, кто остался верен страстям молодости, испытали неловкое чувство растерянности, поставив в первый раз на машину Windows 7, ибо пользователям семерки мелкомягкие предлагают, как прекрасную альтернативу Outlook Express, новую хотмейловую приблуду Windows Live Mail, имхо убогую поделку на базе Outlook Express, не обладающую ни функционалом, ни ни тем что в русском языке именуется юзабилити интерфейса.

Так что пользователям Windows 7 либо остается идти на поводу у мелкомягких, и верить что ничего нельзя поделать, либо же что то делать. Тем более что за прошедшие три года, с момента выхода семерки, уже все изучено и выяснено, что Microsoft’вцы таки оставил в винде вистовый (не те на которых два, да без одной- три) Windows Mail, но пофиксили его, так что для того чтобы запустить Windows Mail на машине под управлением Windows 7 необходимо вносить изменения в реестр.

Собственно для чего первым делом , чтобы он нам не мешался, после чего открываем папку %ProgramFiles%\Windows Mail\ и становимся её владельцем: правой клавишей мышки щелкаем на папку -> Свойства -> Безопасность -> Дополнительно -> Владелец -> Изменить -> выделяем себя в списке пользователей -> Применить -> Ок после чего даем себе дополнительных прав на изменение и удаление файлов. Включаем просмотр скрытых файлов в винде: Панель управления -> Параметры папок -> Вид -> снимаем галку Скрывать защищенные системные файлы

После этого скачиваем следующий арихив: и (тут надо заметить, что на 64битной винде, архив также кидается в Program Files\Windows Mail \, так как та незнакомая папка Program Files(x86) отвечает за запуск 32битных приложений), и распаковываем его в папку %ProgramFiles%\Windows Mail \ . В архиве находится вистовая версия msoe.dll , которая замещает новую пофиксенную и позволит запускать Windows Mail под Windows 7.

исполняемый файл WinMail.exe появился, но не исполнился. Может дело в 204 ключе, он кажется не встал.

Ан нет, работает всё. Видимо мой косяк какой-то был. Большое спасибо.

У меня не получается msoe.dll ни перезаписать, ни удалить версию от Win7. Все делал по инструкции

с правами разберитесь- надо взять управление файлом и стереть его. Переписать поверху не всегда получается

Не дает доступ Trustedinstaller. И удалял его, и решал доступа… Винда7 свежая, с апгрейтами. Может они какую блокировку добавили?

Команда “attrib -s -h “%ProgramFiles%\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe”” не сработала: “Ошибка в формате параметра -”.

Сработало чуть по=-другому:

“attrib -s -h “c:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe””

В отальном всё норм. Спасибо.

У меня не получается msoe.dll ни перезаписать, ни удалить версию от Win7. Все делал по инструкции..

msoe.dll удаляется unlocker-ом, потом msoe.dll просто переписывается в папку.

К сожалению ничего не произошло, сделал все как написано. Но изначально просто удалил страый длл файл и закинул новый, перезагрузил камп, всёнс реестр, прописал команду в выполнить и даже не появился ВинМэйл.эксе.
Винда 7 максимальная. Подскажите, в чём может быть проблема?

Там есть толька папка Ru ru, в которой файл WinMail.exe.mui и всё(, если копировать в корневой каталог, тоже ничего не происходит(

Спасибо огромное. Потому как страшные угробища а ля Bat или Live Mail просто убивают после простоты OE.
